Welcome to The Worlds Beyond!
That feels lovely to type. Ever since I saw my friend, the brilliant Emily Burton, set up a literary journal by herself over at Lincs & Inks and grow it into a fantastic space for writers around the Lincolnshire area, I’ve had an idea for one of my own brewing away in the background. One dedicated to the strange fantasy and sci-fi worlds I love to read and write, but sadly don’t see enough of in commercial fiction books.
That little idea kept bubbling up until it was threatening to spill over and take over my brain, so eventually I gave in to the urge, starting work on the website you see now. It is only a small (and astoundingly expensive) foundation, yet I’m proud of the identity it has already started to take and am looking forward to the work it will help exhibit to a wider audience. Hopefully, with submissions opening tomorrow, soon.
